from seed to harvest in 60 days

This will be an on going blog of the daily changes with a small plant. I recently ordered some seeds from a site that claims they will be ready to harvest in 60 days. After reading up on the strain I found a lot of pros and cons. The plants are hard to kill, but very small. "Indoor yield is 300-500 gr per m2 while outdoor one is 15-50 gr per plant. Shiny crystals covering nearly a whole plant contain 15% of THC and 1.2% of CBD, a perfect combination for a strong cerebral effect. Its a blend of indica, sativa, and ruderalis." acording to the packaging. Having never heard of ruderalis I decided it would be worth the $30 for 3 seeds to see what it was all about. The seeds arived 9 days after ordering. Let's hope they are right about it only taking 60 days because I'm expecting a baby in 65 days.

Day 0: It took the seed about 26 hours to pop open and grow a 1/16" root.

Day 1: The seed went into the dirt and is now in the grow room.

Day 2: Still waiting for her to pop her head out of the dirt. I'm useing the FoxFarm -Soil Feeding Schedule, but plan to change it a bit due to the auto flowering.

Day 3: She's finaly reached the surface. Ph is 6.4. I'm calling the plant a she because I ordered feminized seeds.

Day 4: She's about a 1/4" tall. The second set of leaves are starting to take shape. The seed leaves are a dark yellow almost brown on the underside but the tops are a nice dark green. I think I had a bit too much light. I'm useing 3 24" florescent lights that say they are grow lights, but I cut it back to one on a 18/6 light schedule. They cost me about $10 each at walmart and seem to be doing a great job. I did a test run with the lights and tomato plants.

Day 5: She's about a 1/2" tall. The second set of leaves are now the same size as the seed leaves. The stem is a brownish green.

Day 6: She's almost an inch tall. A second set of real leaves are starting to grow right ontop of the seed leaves. Coloring of the stem is now normal. My only concern is the real leaves are still tiny, hopefully the new ones are bigger.

Day 7: One week photo. If you notice the soil on top has a lot of chunkies in it. I layered the soil to keep the water off the top. The top layer is only about an inch deep after that its miracle grow seed soil. It retains the water much better. At the bottom there is more of the of the same soil at the top. Her name is Alexia. Second photo is about 10 hours into todays light.

Day 8: She looks about the same as yesterday. The leaves are alittle larger but the same shape.

Day 9: She has now dubbled in size from the photos 2 days ago. Ph has dropped alittle bit over the last week and is now at 6.2. I'm not too worried about it, but if it hits 6.0 I'm going to bounce it back up to 6.5.

Day 10: She's 1.5" and has about 6 more leaves starting.

Day 11: She's still looking great. No big changes to report.

Day 12: The leaves now look like marijuana leaves. She's not growing too tall yet, just under 2" still. The ph is at 6.4 again.

Day 13: She's now 2" tall. Everything is running normaly. Tomorrow is week 2 pics.

Day 14: The 2 week photos are up! I talked to a friend who has grown this plant before, and he says it looks right on track. I've never seen a plant this tiny at 2 weeks.

Day 15: She's grown a lot sence the pics yesterday. I hope she keeps up this speed through the veg phase.

Day 16: She looks about the same as yesterday, but has a few new leaves starting.

Day 17: The new leaves she had yesterday are now as big as the ones in the week 2 photo. She's still small but has had a lot of growth.

Day 18: She's now 4" wide and 3.5" tall. About 12 hours ago she was only 3.5" wide. The ph is normal. I've had to increase the watering from every 4th day to every 3rd, the soil was drying alittle too quickly.

Day 19: She's getting larger everyday. The vegetative stage seems to be going smoothly.

Day 20: She's now 4.5" tall and still about 4" wide.

Day 21: Week 3 photos. She's getting big.

Day 22: She is 4.5" tall still, but almost 6" wide.

Day 23: I found 3 small flys in the grow room today. After I saw the first I moved everything looking for more, and I think I got them all. They stayed away from the plant, because I have a fan on it nearly all day. She's 5" tall and 6" wide.

Day 24: She's about the same size as yesterday, but she looks like she's about to flower.

Day 25: Massive growth in the last 24 hours. She's 7" tall at the center, 7" wide from leaf tip to leaf tip, and 1/8" at the base. Her first flower is formed, and she's now on a 12/12 light timer.

Day 26: She's got a lot of flowers starting all over.

Day 27: She's now 8" tall and 7.5" wide.

Day 28: Week 4 pics. She's about the same size as yesterday.

Day 29: She's 9.5" tall and 8.5" wide. I've been trying to controll the growth with fans and by keeping the light 1" above her.

Day 30: HALF WAY POINT! She's 10.75" tall and 9" wide. Yesterday was a watering day so that's why she grew so much. She is covered with flowers. Her top has split and added another 6 flowers. One of her middle leaves had a light brown patch it looks like a little bit of damage, but ill be watching it to make sure it doesn't spread.

Day 31: She's 11" tall and 9" wide. Flowering seems to be as boring as the veg cycle on this plant.

Day 32: She's 11.5" tall. Ph is normal. A few of the lower leaves have a light brown tip, but they are shaded by the upper leaves so I'm assuming its a light issue.

Day 33: She's now exactly one foot tall, and finaly has a full set of 9 leaves on the 2 newest clusters. The flowers are still small but they dubble in size daily.

Day 34: She's 13" tall and looks about the same as yesterday. Tomorrow is pic day hopefully her flowers will be big enough for my phone to focus on.

Day 35: Week 5. She's 13.5" tall and had 5 nice sized budding sites at the top. The pic shows the newest one at the top. It started forming yesterday and has exploded in the last 24 hours.

Day 36: She's 14" tall and looks amazing.

Day 37: She's 14.5" tall, still doesn't have a strong smell unless your right ontop of it, and she seems to have stopped adding new flowers.

Day 38: She's 15" tall and is doing great.

Day 39: She's 15.5" tall, and the flowers are much larger then the photo from 4 days ago.

Day 40: She's still 15.5" tall and yesterday was a watering day so I think she's about done growing taller finaly.

Day 41: No new growth.

Day 42: Week 6. The leaves directly under the flowers have started getting a white dust look on them.

Day 43: She's looking great. By far the easiest plant ive ever grown.

Day 44: She's still at 15.5" tall and the flowers are getting larger.

Day 45: Not much has changed sence yesterday.

Day 46: Today is the first time I've been able to smell her as i entered the grow room. A few of the stigmas have started to turn yellow. Harvest is coming in the next few weeks.

Day 47: A few more of the stigmas have started to brown.

Day 48: She's looking like shes right on track to harvest on day 60.

Day 49: Week 7.

AutoFlowering Plants

You made a good choice going with the autoflowering seed. I have grown the Automatic Blueberry and it is NICE! The only problem I have with the autoflowering plants..........YOU CAN'T CLONE THEM!!

Dr. FunkFlower

Please post some pics if you

Please post some pics if you get a chance, a pic is worth a thousand words :)  I'd love to see this gal when she's mature :)  I have heard a lot about auto-flowering plants, from the sounds of it, this is what you have got!  Most plants take 2 months of bloom / flower, with as little or as much vegatative cycle as you care to give them.  Does she have a name yet? LOL

I'm planing on posting one

I'm planing on posting one tonight ... she's been alittle too small so the pics I've taken are fuzzy. She doesn't have a name yet but I think ill let the gf name her.
